　　There are two main problems of connector thermal failure. The first one is the loss of normal contact force, which may be caused by the thermal expansion effect between the spring material and the plastic shell of the connector, the strength reduction of the spring material at high temperature and the stress relaxation of the spring material. The second problem is the formation of an insulating film on the surface of the contact material of the connector, which usually results in complete blocking of the conductivity on the separable interface of the connector.

　　Due to the degassing of plastic shell or other adjacent volatile materials, the diffusion and subsequent oxidation of non precious metals on the contact surface may form films. The common influence of connector thermal fault is that the increase of contact resistance reduces the transmission performance, and the decrease of contact force leads to the decrease of actual contact area.
